Krypteia or crypteia (Greek: κρυπτεία / krupteía, from κρυπτός / kruptós, “hidden, secret things”) was a tradition involving young Spartans, part of the agoge (classical Greek ἀγωγή) regime of Spartan education. Its goal and nature are still a matter of discussion among historians.
