Can’t anyone here tell me the meaning of Christmas?

Nothing says Christmas like a double feature of:

Followed by

It’s just how we roll…

But seriously, in these times of strife and economic thermonuclear meltdown, and Christmas capitalism, I think it appropriate to watch these films. Both have much to say about possible outcomes (ok, sans the alien overlords… well, maybe there are overlords…) for our society and where it is going.

It’s scary out there kids and about to get scarier. Ponder on this eve before the day of gifting unto others all the toys they want, what this holiday is really all about.

Not capitalism

Not gift giving or getting

Not being cranky about shopping at the last minute

Not avarice

But love, peace, and hope. All of which are in short supply of late.

Merry Christmas and take a moment to ponder this…

Click Me

While out buying some Taittinger champagne for tonight I came across the ultimate find. Lucid Absinthe can finally be found near me. I plan on trying this out within the next few days. More to report once I imbibe.

I had originally read about the guy who finally made this product in Wired magazine a while back. He bought old bottles of original Absinthe and ran samples through a mass spectrometer. He then reverse engineered the original recipes and created Lucid.
