Blowback

Well, its been a little while since I have updated on the side work, but its also been kind of quiet… That is until Tuesday evening. The stalker decided that since she could not “cyber” stalk the clients, then instead she would show up in person at their home.

So, I have spent the last couple nights at the clients home, hidden in the woods with the camera in hopes of catching the psycho. So far, no joy on that. However, in other areas it seems things are moving along. The clients received a letter from the local State Police troop that they had obtained an ex parte order for the IP addresses from the emails.

This order is a boon in some ways and a bane in others. For the most part, it has become apparent that the police are attempting to get the locations and owners of those IP addresses to use against the clients and not for a case of hacking. It seems that the lead trooper on the case was at one time, suspended without pay after being overzealous on an earlier visit to the clients home (she broke out the AR-15 and stormed the home really) so seems to have a bit of a grudge. She (this trooper) has made statements to the clients lawyer that they/she will have a warrant for the female client for making false statements to the police on this case.

We will see where it goes because after doing lookups on the IP’s and finding out how long these places hold records, I seriously doubt that the cops will have anything they can use. In fact, I really don’t think that if they do get something that they will use it. This would be because it will exonerate my clients and thus they will just bury it.

This leaves us where we stand now… The stalker has not broken the law in doing what she has been doing. The clients have had some solace in that they are no longer being harassed all the time online and by phone. They are getting themselves ready for a civil case against the state police for all the crap they have been through with them, and are selling their gas station, house, etc as planned and seem to have a buyer on the station.

Things will get interesting though…

The client wants to take more “active” measures with the stalker. I have divorced myself from knowing anything to have plausible deniability on that account. Once the clients start the civil proceedings, they are going to be a world of shit I think. I can foresee traffic stops, and other harassment from the state cops for them. Where I will meet this mess will be when my reporting and my testimony comes to play. Guess I will have to see how they react. In the meantime, surveillance for me until the equipment comes in for the perimeter…
