Jekyll & Jack
While watching and thinking about Jekyll, I had an interesting thought. The book/novella “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” was published in 1886 and became quite popular. Jack the Ripper began killing in 1888. Two years post publication and just as plays of the book were becoming even more popular and Jack begins his reign of terror…
Having read the “Maybrick” diaries it kind of made sense for me that perhaps whoever Jack really was, was influenced by Hyde? A potion could easily be something like Laudinum right? A change in personality through mind altering chemistry…
